Project Overview
AMS’ modern parapet design gives LPS Hayward an innovative edge.
Leadership Public Schools’ college-prep curriculum incorporates a variety of teaching and learning styles. To match the building to the curriculum, AMS reconfigured the charter school campus into modular flex-space capable of creating a variety of dynamic environments that promote active engagement. The open-concept design accommodates 250 for school assemblies, downsizing via folding partitions into smaller classrooms, labs and breakout areas. A raised 9’-6” ceiling, Solatubes and storefront windows maximize daylighting, keeping interiors bright and airy while reducing energy costs. A parapet roofline, floating overhangs and a custom mix of finishes create a contemporary façade that visually reinforces the school’s 21st century programming.
